Who are you, in there?
You have a name. Your’re someone’s child. Maybe you’re also someone’s parent. You’re your boss’s employee, your friends’ friend, and your home’s occupant. Those are the easy ones.
You are also a creative soul. (We all are!)
That means you have a creative voice in there, longing to be heard, honoured, and expressed.
Here’s the thing – often when someone is experiencing corporate burnout, they’re also lamenting a deeply meaningful part of themselves they’ve lost to the grind.
It doesn’t even have to be about work. When we give so much of ourselves to the outside world by striving to meet everyone else’s expectations, we get disconnected from who we are inside, and what we want from life. It can even get to the point where we struggle to name our own preferences – a favourite food, a childhood dream, a hobby we’ve always wanted to try…
The things that once lit us up fade to whispers we strain to hear.
To turn inward and listen for that voice again is to begin the wonderful work of reconnecting with yourself.
That’s where the magic begins!
