Reclaim Your Energy - Wildflower Garden

Reconnect with Yourself

The arc where you move from disconnection to alignment.

This is the chapter you turn to when you’re feeling a little lost, or like you’ve lost your spark. It’s where we reacquaint with our dreams, step into our authenticity, and find meaning in the path we’re taking.

What better way to reconnect with yourself than through creativity?

The creative process involves play, curiosity, exploration, and experimentation — the very process that leads to self-discovery. When we’re feeling lost, it’s often because we don’t feel like we know ourselves well enough to choose a direction to walk in. Maybe we can’t name a hobby we’d like to try, we lost touch with what motivates us, or we have trouble simply naming something that would feel good.

The first step, then, is to find what is authentic to you.

And once you’ve found it? Then it’s all about living in alignment with it. That might look as simple as resting when you’re tired, or as complex as finding new ways to honour the creative voice you’ve uncovered — the stuff that creative reclamation is made of.

These posts are meant to meet you where you’re at, moving through practical tips for self-discovery, through authenticity and authentic living, to experimenting with creative endeavors until one ignites that spark!

To add a little whimsy to your week, I wrote a 5-part narrative email journey to spark your imagination and help you return to your creative self.

Ready to write your story?

Although I’ve presented it as its own chapter, reconnecting with yourself isn’t a solitary phase. It happens any time you look inward and discover what has meaning or value to you. You reconnect with yourself when you find ways to reclaim your energy, just as much as when you embrace your creativity.

Reconnecting with yourself takes time — you are a wonderful, multifaceted being after all! It’s there in that time spent looking inward that you’ll find the inspiration, motivation, and meaning that moves you toward the feeling of alignment.
